MOVEMENT SCIENCE PRACTITIONER SERIES PILATES, FITNESS AND WELLNESS
If you are a movement professional working in Pilates, fitness, or wellness, this series will help you to enhance your observation, cueing, and understanding of your clients’ movement strategies. Utilising techniques developed from 25 years of research and applied in professional sport, the modules seek to further refine your ability to deliver highly bespoke movement retraining.
The series sets out to expand your existing repertoire exponentially as you build a more sophisticated movement toolkit. Ultimately, the modules will help you deliver targeted interventions to promote health and elevate both performance and quality of life via building robust movement strategies.
MSP Movement, Analysis and Training
The first of a series of modules for movement professionals working in fitness and wellness, that applies Comera Movement Science’s blend of anatomy, biomechanics, and neuroscience research, to enhance practitioners’ exercise interventions with their clients.
Understanding & Facilitating Movement Options
Part B takes the skills of observation and interpretation from Part A, refines them, and applies them to a range of different regions.
Part one is comprised of an online learning, completed prior to the attendance of 3 face to face workshops which progressively develop your practical application. Each workshop focusses on specific regions, applying the muscle classification model and skills of observation and cueing to the trunk, the neck and shoulder, and the hip and lower leg.
Movement Science Practitioner Accreditation (MSPA) Exam
The final element of the MSP series allows you to attain the Movement Science Practitioner Accreditation (MSPA).
To gain MSPA status, the candidate has to pass three components: a case study, viva, and practical demonstration. The exam will last between 60-90 minutes and can be conducted virtually.
