We recently made the move to deliver our flagship course, The Movement Solution One, in a blended learning format. We believe that this will provide our attendees with a better learning experience in a format that is more convenient for attendees. In this blog, we’ll explain some of the benefits of this blended working approach and why we think this will be a great approach for The Movement Solution One.
1. It suits working schedules
We’re all busier these days and, especially where education is geared towards professionals, the time requirement of an extended face to face course can be a lot to ask. With this in mind, it is perhaps unsurprising that people are increasingly going online to learn, whether by taking an online course or even pursuing an online MBA.
A blended approach gives attendees the flexibility that comes with a portion of the course being delivered online with the face-to-face support and interaction that its in-person sessions provide. We believe this is the best approach for a three-week course like The Movement Solution One.
2. It saves our attendees money
Kinetic Control has a global following, with KCMTs in over 30 countries and courses across the world. This is reflected in the attendees of The Movement Solution One in the UK. In 2020, we had RSVPs from as far afield as Hong Kong! By offering some of the course online, we can save our attendees an additional trip to the UK, as well as additional costs like hotel fees and travel to Chichester.
3. It puts the learner in control
We’ve been teaching Kinetic Control for years now, so we know first-hand that every course delegate is different. People learn in different ways and at different speeds and studies have shown that individuals who are able to control the pace of their own learning are able to achieve higher performance.
We believe our education materials should reflect this. By delivering a third of the content for The Movement Solution One in a self-paced digital format, we empower attendees to learn at their own pace and digest the course material in the way that’s right for them.
4. Research shows that it’s more effective
There is a variety of research available that demonstrates that blended learning is more effective than face-to-face education. As early as 2010, the US Department of Education found that blended learning was more effective than face-to-face teaching, an effect that was particularly pronounced in adult education. A number of studies have also suggested that blended learning approaches result in increased individuals’ satisfaction and improved learning outcomes.
So, to conclude, we believe that our new blended learning will provide a more effective learning experience, which is more flexible for our attendees. Following on from the success of Kinetic Control Online, we’re excited to be continually innovating to meet the needs of our clients.
