We caught up with Pablo Marinho to discuss his and Carla's time teaching in Brazil & plans for Kinetic Control in 2020 in Brazil.
In the first weekend of July 2019, myself (Pablo Marinho) and Carla Danielle had the great opportunity to return to the city of Belo Horizonte (BH) to teach the Kinetic Control ‘Targeting Muscle Synergies to Optimise Movement Retraining’ modules. As it is always in this great city, we had a fully booked course, with a mix of both new and familiar faces of physios returning to continue their ‘education in movement’.
4 days of an education in movement
Over the 4 days, we were able to discuss and apply the principles of testing and retraining for the global muscle role synergists to improve movement efficiency in addition to covering the management of translation issues associated to synergists possessing local stabiliser role. Carla was able to share her clinical and teaching experience, reflecting upon the course’s content and its application to both current literature and evidence-based practice.
Looking ahead to Kinetic Control in Brazil
We are just in the process of setting up some courses therefore lookout for upcoming events:
- BH, the plan is to offer the next muscle synergy course, considering the neck and shoulder and then on to the ‘Coordination Efficiency’ courses, to complete the modular course route.
- São Paulo and new cities, we will be offering our flagship course: The Movement Solution.
- Rio de Janeiro, we now plan to focus on the masterclasses, like ‘Flexibility for Movement Efficiency & Movement Health, ‘Myofascial Trigger Points for Movement Optimisation & Pain’ and the ‘Lower Leg’.
